Myanmar Union Mission offers Special
Prayer for Missionary Book
After the Mid-Year Committee Meeting on May 22, 2008, all ordained
pastors demonstrated their support and commitment for the 2008
Missionary Book of the Year, Ten Commandments, by putting
their hands on the stack of books as Pr. Caleb Paw, Ministerial
Associate Secretary for MYUM, offered a special prayer. He prayed
that God will bless our efforts so that Ten Commandments
will touch the hearts of readers and lead them to the kingdom of
God.

Participating from MYUM in the special prayer were
Pr. Muller Kyaw, President, Pr. Memory Tun, Secretary, Pr. Caleb
Paw, Ministerial Associate Secretary,
Pr. Thang Lian Khai, Publishing/SOP Director, Pr. Do Hen Pau,
Kinsaung Publishing House Manager,
Pr. Kenneth Suan Za Nang, Communication Director, Pr. Shine Tha,
Youth Director, Pr. Suak Khaw Ngin, Education Director, and Pr. Khin
Mg Latt, Sabbath School Director.
Also participating from Missions in the special prayer were Pr. Khin
Mg Yin, President of AYM, Pr. Mona Paul, President of CMM, Pr.
Reigna Ywa, President of SEM, Pr. Kai Khan Khual, Secretary of UMM,
and Pr. Mg Mg Htay, Administrator of YAD.
This special program for the missionary book was conducted at the
Myanmar Union Mission headquarters. The Union Mission leaders wanted
to educate all of our church leaders so they will know their
responsibility to motivate their members to participate in the
missionary work by giving a book free to others. They wanted the
church leaders to be revived and transformed personally before
distributing the missionary book. And they wanted God to bless the
book and pour the power of the Holy Spirit up on it, so that it will
touch the hearts of the readers to join the Remnant Church.
Ellen G. White wrote, “Every believer must circulate tracts,
leaflets and books.” Following this counsel our leaders sought to
motivate all church members to help distribute the missionary book.
In this spirit they adopted the slogan “One member, One book; Keep
Sharing to Tell the World”. The church leaders present at our
meeting will continue educating their leaders by implementing the
“Tell the World Seminar” by SSD President for all the pastors
throughout the union territory. Later another series of seminars
will follow for all of the local church publishing coordinators.
The special prayer for the missionary book, “The Ten Commandment”
during the Mid-year Committee touched the hearts of leaders and
received positive responses from all the participants. By the grace
of God, all our mission workers and all of our church members will
help distribute this very special missionary book and many souls
will be brought into the kingdom of heaven.
