Mercy unto the Faithful

The door opened quickly and a lady reached out, grabbed my arm and pulled me inside. “Come in, come in! You look like you are about to faint!”

She quickly pulled me over to the couch and pushed me down. “You are about to faint from heatstroke,” she explained. “Don’t worry, I’m a doctor.” She brought me water, some juice, and medicine for my headache.
When I felt better, I began to talk to her about my mission—bringing God’s literature to her neighborhood. At the end of our visit, I was able to leave several books in her home.

God is so merciful. I had been feeling sick for a couple of hours, and had prayed for a nice lady to invite me inside to cool down. God knew I needed more than just a cool drink of water so He sent me to a doctor. In Jonah 4:6 “… God provided a vine and made it grow up over Jonah to give shade for his head to ease his discomfort…” Always, in all ways, God provides for my needs.
