Sabbath, February 27th, I was in Mauritius for the launch of the first French Missionary Book of the Year, Signs of Hope. I alluded to the Missionary Book of the Year project and mentioned that this project was intended for total church participation. We did not hold a full dedication program for the book, but at the end of the service as we shook hands at the door one member requested 50 copies. 
On Sabbath, February 28th at Rose Hill Church each church member was given a paper on which to pledge the number of
books they would be willing to share. In this church alone the members pledged to sponsor 2,010 copies! The total membership of the church on the island is 4,000. The islanders could easily surpass their goal should the same spirit prevail in the 40 remaining churches and companies. The Island has a population of 1.2 million people.
